Please note for couples therapy you and your partner can work with the clinician of your choosing individually (with one therapist) or together (with both therapists - Dr. Tiffany & Dr. Jeremy in co-facilitated couples therapy) depending on your needs.
Research posits that there is a serious need for new strategies to address couples issues to enhance treatment efficacy. Integrative co-facilitated couples therapy produces efficient and inimitable outcomes that can be more challenging to create in the traditional format of couples therapy.
Collaborative therapy with two professionals in a committed relationship can facilitate a more nuanced exploration of complex issues, contributing to an insightful and richer therapeutic process. Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Jeremy have similar and different specialties, this offers a more holistic treatment addressing both personal and shared challenges.
If my partner and I decide on co-facilitated couples therapy what would that look like?
All four of us (you and your partner alongside Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Jeremy) would work collaboratively in couples therapy.
An additional approach would be for you and your partner to have individual therapy in conjunction with co-facilitated couples therapy.
If my partner and I decide on individual therapy and integrative co-facilitated couples therapy what would that look like?
One week you would be in session with your therapist (Dr. Tiffany or Dr. Jeremy). The subsequent session you would work with your therapist, your partner, and your partner’s therapist (You and your partner alongside Dr. Tiffany and Dr. Jeremy). Sessions will continue to alternate. Sessions will be scheduled based on your needs and goals.
Whatever approach you decide on welcome to the first step of transforming your relationship and transcending previous levels of relational satisfaction. Yes, it is possible!

Dr. Tiffany is experienced and passionate about couple’s work. She conducted research for her dissertation that examined and gained an in-depth understanding of a couple’s lived experience of surpassing previous levels of relationship satisfaction and actualizing (utmost potential) their relationship after a breach of trust.
In essence, the study revealed a map that couples utilized to successfully transform their relationship with their partner after a breach of trust transcending previous levels of relationship satisfaction. The pathways provided by the research study inform how we approach and address the challenges presented in therapy.

Eye Movement desensitization & Reprocessing
EMDR
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), is a scientifically researched and structured modality. To put it simply, it helps access and process difficult memories and challenging life experiences, leading to a healthier resolution.
Successful EMDR treatment can relieve emotional distress, reshape negative beliefs, reduce triggers and knee-jerk responses. EMDR therapy facilitates creating new connections between distressing memories and more positive or useful information. The new associations lead to a better understanding of information, learning new things, reducing emotional distress, integration of cognitive insights and healing.
EMDR is proven effective for trauma and PTSD, ongoing studies underscore positive outcomes for depression, anxiety, addictions, chronic pain, and OCD.
Notably, EMDR outperformed Prozac in treatment for trauma (Van der Kolk et al., 2007), with over 7 million successful treatments worldwide (Shapiro and Forest, 2016).

Dr. Tiffany possesses firsthand experience and a profound understanding of the journey.
Dr. Jeremy Teschera served as her main caretaker throughout the journey, giving him a unique understanding of the responsibilities and challenges associated with that role.
